3D CSS Book Covers — Scott Robbin.

If there’s anything we’ve consistently seen implemented poorly it’s book images (or software box art). It’s really difficult to get the perspective to look just right. Scott Robbin took the time to recreate the results from an application that turned book cover images into 3D books in CSS3, and the solution is really quite nice.

He offers a great little walkthrough explaining just how he did it, so you might catch on to a few CSS3 tricks you haven’t seen before. I contemplated the idea of a 3D book when putting together the Client Oriented WordPress Development website, but honestly couldn’t pull it off. The next revamp of the site just might include this technique!
