David DeSandro is a long time hero of mine, but this is the first I’ve seen a talk by him. It’s a killer five minutes that’s worth your time.
The physics of animation is one of those things that feels small until you play with something that got it wrong. Then it all feels wrong. This video dispels the perceived complexity of implementing physics in JavaScript by breaking it down into forces that act on particles. Even that sentence seems complicated though so I’d suggest sticking with the video, it’s great.
