CSS has been lacking proper layout mechanisms for far too long. Transitions, animations, filters, all of these are great and useful additions to the language, but they don’t address the major problems that Web developers have been complaining about for what seems like an eternity.
Finally, thanks to Flexbox, we have a solution.

Flexbox is one of those things that is as awesome as it is frustrating for long-time CSS authors. It’s frustrating because we’ve dealt with what feel like “should be easily solvable problems” for years and it’s awesome because it’s finally just around the bend with Flexbox.

If you’ve been puzzled by the existing specs for Flexbox this awesome new project shines a spotlight on how impactful it’s going to be for us.
