Kickstrap: Enhancements for Bootstrap.

The Bootstrap innovations keep rolling in. This time in the form of easy extension. There are a few neat things to check out here, especially the Themes. It shows the extensive effect a few style changes can have on a design. There are a number of Themes to check out, each can give your prototype a bit more of a custom look to better match the task at hand.

Of particular note is the inclusion of what Kickstrap is calling the OLCG, or One Line CSS Grid, which aims to break the grid without breaking the grid by facilitating the split of odd-numbered column widths into even sections. These changes are, in my opinion, aiming to cement Bootstrap as a designer-less development framework geared toward production environments instead of the prototyping tool it originated as. I’m still letting that sink in.
