nginx is an alternative to Apache with a supreme focus on performance and scalability. I converted my production server to use nginx about 5 months ago and loved how it works.
Config files that make sense and wicked performance benefits top my list of Reasons to Love nginx and it’s definitely worth a look.
With nginx being a fully fledged company, it looks like we can expect even more rapid development and new features. Great news to boot: nginx will remain free and open source through this transition.
