Naming, to me, has always been one of the most difficult tasks to take on. There is so much thought and planning that needs to go into it, and as an outside party it’s very difficult to completely grasp the ideals behind something so as to give it an appropriate name. And then you have to think about brand power, and then mix in the absolutely necessary ‘findability’ of your name which takes away all of that witty humor you put into it. Then the domain isn’t available and you find out people have for some reason started searching for that instead of this. Just thinking about the prospect of having to name something gets me tense.
There’s a lot of time and effort that can be spent on a name, and personally I believe a name deserves it. I like the level of plain logic the team at Tapstream explains in this article.
