This is a great little reminder, something I think we often overlook, at least I do. I’ve romanticized more times than I can remember how great it would be to just sit down and write code for an entire day. But that’s just not realistic, nor would it be that rewarding. The real joy comes from struggling to figure something out for way longer than you thought it would take and then actually seeing it work. That’s what it’s all about! Sure, the act of writing code is fun, figuring out what to use (and subsequently what not to use) is fun too, but as the author of the article elaborates quite a bit on: writing less code is a great goal to have.
